An Iranian journalist, broadcaster and analyst with more than five decades of experience covering Iran and the Arab world. His career spans print journalism, radio, television, regional analysis and cross-border media.
A long-standing London-based voice on Iranian and Arab affairs, Dr Alireza Nourizadeh combines newsroom experience with regional political analysis and broadcasting.
Former political editor of Ettelaat newspaper and editor-in-chief of Omid Iran. In exile, he has led the Iran & Arab Research Centre and the Iran Farda television network.
His work focuses on Iran, the Arab world, Gulf affairs, regional diplomacy, political change and the relationship between Iranian developments and the wider Middle East.
His media record includes work with Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, Al-Watan, Al-Majalla, Al-Moujaz, Deutsche Welle, Voice of America and Persian-language publications including Kayhan London and Roozegar-e No.
Educated in law and political science, with postgraduate study in criminal law and a doctorate in international relations from London.
